So you have some questions about our 2008 Christmas Competition? Then hopefully this page helps answer them.

How many winners & who wins what?

There will be 9 winners, and they are made up like this.

Note: Spot prize winners will win one App from the list above, there will be a maximum of 5 spot prize winners. Spot prize will still be eligible to win other prizes (except other spot prizes)

When can I expect to receive my prize?

All efforts will be made to ensure prizes arrive as soon as possible after the draw, however we are making the draw on christmas day when many businesses are closed. Promotion codes for applications will be sent via email to the winners within 48 hours of the prize draw. Physical objects will be dispatched before the 15th of January 2009.

Some items are being dispatched from iTalk Magazine, others will be dispatched from the originating business. Do not expect your prize to arrive in one shot

How do I know how many entries I have?

You could count the number of comments you’ve made between Dec 15th and Dec 25th.

What about your bonus entries? We do need to manually check your comments, when you place a URL to a blog post or you tweet @iphonesource we will check & then add a note to your comment with the number of bonus entries you’ve received.

How is the draw done?

We’ve thought long and hard about this. We think on Christmas day, after we’ve had our share of “making merry”, we’ll stumble to the computer and bang on the keyboard until a name pops up – no no, we wouldn’t do that!!

We will be keeping a spreadsheet of entries, from which we will pull random entries from on the 25th of December.

How do I know if I’ve won something?

We will be contacting all winners within 48 hours of making the draw (we’ll do it all on Christmas day if we can steal enough time away from the in-laws). Winners of physical items will be asked to reply with their full postal address within 48 hours, or the prize will be award to someone else.

Explain the start & end dates again

New Zealand is the first country in the word to welcome the 15th of Dec 2008, so this competition kicks off as NZ enters the 15th.

Somewhere over Russia or Alaska, there is a spot that is the last place in the world to welcome Christmas Day (the 25th of Dec). As Christmas Eve turns into Christmas day where ever this spot is, we will close the competition.

For those in the USA, you get to start entering from the 14th, for those of you in New Zealand, you get to keep entering on Christmas Day
