Hidden .com Button in Mail

So we all know about the handily .com button in safari browser keyboard, but is would seem that the mail keyboard was left out in the cold. Well my fiends it wasn’t, it is just hidden from you. To get the handy .com button just hold the period for 2 seconds and a popup containing .com will appear. Also in the pop up are org, .edu, and .net.

If you really want to impress friends try saying “allakhazam” while holding the button for added effect.

  4. I read about this earlier and thought “well that’s how you do it” and then ran into the magnifier to control the cursor by holding your finger on text which is also useful. I agree with Paul that there should be some type of xml file to edit that would allow you to add or edit TLDs – or even just use the locator feature to figure out where you are and or even learn which TLDs you commonly type in from cache. I try and learn something new for my iphone everyday but haven’t read too many cool tips recently – thanks for the refresh!
