A source is a web address you add to Cydia (Installer.app) to download applications. Different sources host different things like applications, wallpapers, themes, etc. To use Cydia, your iPhone must be jailbroken.

Please Note: there is no such thing as 100% safety or immunity from problems and occasional rogue applications, on the iPhone or any other mobile platform! This list includes the standard repositories that are included within Community Sources (so you don’t need to do anything to add those) and others that we know of and have used often, and consistently had good results.

We hope we’ll be able to update this list frequently, as more good sources come along. We also hope the list will be helpful to you, and we’ll likely point to it in future posts, as a quick reference for sources’ details when you need to add them to Installer. We’d also absolutely like to hear your suggestions on sources to add – give us a shout via the “Contact” page.

Sources for Installer 4.0

You can add additional sources by opening Installer.app, tapping on sources in the bottom right corner, edit in the top right corner, then add in the top left corner. Once you’re done, tap done in the top right corner. Installer.app should refresh the sources automatically but sometimes it takes twice for them to show up correctly.
