PED3 – rotating iPhone Stand

Yes it’s true, iTalk Magazine is giving away a brand new PED3 iPhone Stand to one lucky winner.

So what is a PED3 & why do I need one?

I remember one lunch time not too long after I won my iPhone I was sitting in the lunch room at work trying to watch a movie & eat at the same time. I had the iPhone propped up against something and it kept slipping. I ended up trying to hold it and eat – not easy.

Then a friend of mine (who has a 1st Gen iPhone) told me about a video he’d seen of someone making an iPhone stand out of a dollar bill. We both tried to make one and mine failed, while his was – well okay. I used it for a day or two until it became soft and collapsed.

Since then I’ve been using .. well nothing.

Then I saw the stands from ThoughtOut and right now I’m sitting here waiting for a PED3 to wing it’s way to me so I can give it a full review. From what I can see these pretty solid looking stands cradle your iPhone with rubber covered fingers and can rotate to hold your phone while you watch movies.

This thing is the best iphone’ robot hand ever! I want that ;P

  2. I love simple and skeletal devices to hold my devices. This would fit perfect by my workstation so that I could use my iphone without having to hold it and worrying about it slipping out of my hand or off my desk. I would really love to see one for my automobile… I don’t really trust suction cup devices but would love to see how this could be modified for a vehicle’s use.
