SlingPlayer for iPhone

Sling Media announced at MacWorld their new player for the iPhone. This player has been long expected, however it’s taken Sling Media a while to get to this point. The announcement also included the Mac version – so if you own a Sling Media unit you can now stream (live?) tv direct to your iPhone.

It’ll be interesting to see if and when this gets into the iTunes App Store as Sling Media are yet to put the app in for review – still they have a booth right next to Apple at the Mac World conference so maybe they can have a word or two to someone?

I don’t watch that much TV, but it looks kinda cool – check out a demo video on Sling Media’s site: click here for demo video

  1. this is “frick’n” awesome! – I even had to check the home site to make sure it was the same sling product I was thinking it was. I’ve been looking for something like this for when going around to parts where there wasn’t a permanent station around and didn’t really want to pause the dvr if others were watching it. I can now even watch one thing right in front of my workstation where my iphone is on a stand and have something else playing on the permanent station or play video games and watch my iphone. Nice.
